Warrendale Wagyu rewarded his patient owners to win on his seasonal reappearance at Doncaster under Gianluca Sanna. He is a horse who hinted at ability last season but a few niggly setbacks meant that we never got a clean run with him.

Tracking the pace in midfield he quickened up well inside the last furlong to win a shade cosily at the line. The manner of this win would suggest that he can win again before too long.
