Starting the turf season as we mean to go on…

It was wonderful to get our first Winner of the turf season at Musselburgh last week as Zowal put up a very likeable performance to win on debut for us under a usual well judged Jason Hart ride for Owner Mr M Dalby.

Zowal showed some good form in France last year with Jean-Claude Rouget and we purchased him at a horses in training sale over there at the back end of the year. He’s pleased us at home since joining us and this was a very nice start.

He’s a lovely strong horse, perhaps typical of his sire Zarak, showing a good attitude and despite being a little green under pressure he was well on top on the line. He will improve again for more experience and looks a lovely horse for the future.
